ABOUT US
The Blackburn and Darwen School Games Organisation (BwDSGO) is located in the Blackburn with Darwen borough of Lancashire and was established in September 2003 through the government funded national PE School Sport & Club Links programme. The BwDSGO is hosted and very well supported by the borough’s Sport Specialist High School, St Bede’s RC High School.
Our Support
As you are aware the government have pledged £150 million pounds into the delivery of PE and Sport in primary schools. In response we have created a service level agreement which will enable us to work in partnership with schools to provide a comprehensive, flexible and responsive service to assist subject leaders and Head Teachers to support the delivery of PE and Sport in an effective and professional manner.
Schools that sign up to the SLA will be able to enter the basic competitions, however schools that have signed up to the competition package will get access to those same competitons plus an additional 20 competitions throughout the year.

The service is delivered by appropriately qualified, experienced and skilled staff with knowledge of young people. The BWDSGO is commited to the ongoing personal development of all its team, particularly in PE and Sport innovation, best practice and keeping up to date with National and local initiatives.
